By registering for laboratory experiments, you indicate your intention in participating in experiments conducted by researchers in the Department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology.
The following list informs you about the potential benefits and risks related to this experiment recruitment system.
For each experiment, a certain number of registered persons will receive an invitation email. Only invited persons have the right to take part in the experiment
If you wish to participate in a given experiment, you have to answer positively to the invitation email, by clicking on the link provided in the email. By doing so, you indicate your commitment to participate
If you cannot come for some reason, please inform the experimenter ASAP by email. Keep in mind that some experiments require a certain number of students to participate. If you do not show up without informing the researcher, it may cause the cancellation of the entire experiment
Participation is typically compensated in cash. The amount depends on the specific experiment. However, every participant who is enrolled in an experiment and shows up on time will be compensated with a show-up payment
For each experiment, an excess number of participants will be invited and enrolled to ensure sufficient participation. This may result in an excess number of participants who show up. Individuals may not participate in an experiment if too many potential participants show up. However, individuals that show up on time but do not participate will still receive the show-up payment
To ensure that only those people who signed up take part in the experiment, participants are asked to carry photo id
